Our D.U.M.B. guy (Director of Useful Mgmnt & Budget), Johnny ‘Chewy‘ Hochalugie, alerted us that “the tie necessitates the splitting of the 8 Dollar Bill & 3 JiveRadio Ball Point Pens.” Splitting an 8 Dollar Bill into two fours is easy, but the pens? Well, ‘Chewy’ came up with a simple answer-

Prizes are going out soon. One lucky winner will receive the top half that has the soft little dealy for punching your phone, the less-lucky winner will get the business-end of the pen and most of the ink.
Thanks to all that voted and to all the LOSERS who tried to crack us up.
We here at Jive World HQ are super saddened to note the passing of the great Paul Barrere, guitarist and singer for one of the greatest goddang bands in the history of Rock n Roll, LITTLE FEAT. Paul was 71, and his departure was due to liver cancer.
Not as well known as Feat Founder Lowell George, Paul was excruciatingly important to Little Feat’s overall Mega-Awesomeness. Co-writer of Romance Dance, All That You Dream, Hi Roller, Time Loves A Hero, Old Folks Boogie, and more, he was an essential part of this essential American band.
You want to have a great tribute to Barrere tonight…..and a real good party, too? Listen to the incredibly terrific Little Feat live album called Waiting For Columbus. that’ll ignite your mojo factor real good. Crank it up…..and don’t bogart that vape, my friend!
ok, some big changes on the way, as our friends at the community-based, student-staffed, super cool KWNK FM move into their next phase. What’s gonna happen is that Jive Radio programming will disappear from 97.7 fm as of November 1. KWNK now has plenty of manpower, and it’s ready to step up and take control. So Jive Radio programming, currently heard from 4 am to 4 pm every day, will vanish. In its place will be KWNK programming, and they are doing a fine job. go to KWNK dot org to check out their web site. they’re doing some great radio, and don’t write it off as just “College Radio.” they are doing so much more! All kinds of stuff, and we encourage you to check em out.
We still will have a small presence on KWNK. Bruce Van Dyke’s Big Bucket of Wathefuket will still be on every Monday through Friday morning from 6 to 9. Sister Tiny’s Song and Dance will still be on Saturdays noon to 2. and Diane’s Jive Cafe will be heard on Saturdays from 2 to 4. but apart from these Jive offerings, the programming on KWNK, beginning November 1, will be all KWNK. We’ve been delighted to help the station get going and hope for it to have a long and fruitful run.

Caption entry window is CLOSED. Our Band of Squirrels will be posting ballot very soon.
