A little bit (more) Bend be okay:

Even though the blue line above represents the theoretical listening area (contour thru Bend Bend) to the FCC, KJIV’s [96.5FM] real reception south of the Trader Schmoe’s Shop-N-Clusterplex has been terrible, we now have a little booster transmitter in Bend which gives at least a little more candlepower into downtown Bend.

We’d love feedback from our ears on the ground whether living in or traveling around, let us know where it’s bad or better or good or worse where you’re at.  What the 96.5 Jive waves be doing in your radio?

The Peter Green Tribute……when it’s on.

so ok, the tribute to Fleetwood Mac founder Peter Green will play on JiveRadio at these times……

Peter Green……1946-2020

one of the GREAT british guitarists, singers, and songwriters, the remarkable Peter Green went to sleep on July 25th and forgot to wake up.  he was 73 years old.

 

everybody knows Fleetwood Mac.  but not many know that the band was created by Green back in ’67, along with drummer mick FLEETWOOD and bassist john MACvie.  and many of us don’t know that that first version of the Mac was EXTREMELY popular, at least in the UK.  they were STARS, mainly because of Green, who was really good. the author of Black Magic Woman (yep, that’s a fleetwood mac song covered by santana) and a revered guitarist (none other than B.B. King once said Peter was the only guitarist who could give him chills), it’s obvious we need to pay tribute to his memory and legacy.

 

so yes….a tribute show is coming.  it’s currently in production, stay tuned for details……should be ready to roll by thursday?
